The Friends of the Heights Libraries appreciates your donation of books to help supply the ongoing sales in the Harvey and FRIENDS Bookshop, and periodically held Special Book Sales. Proceeds from book sales support the Heights Libraries, its projects and programs.
We especially encourage donating any of the following:
Coffee Table books
Antique or Collectible books
Arts books
History books
Cooking books
Gardening books
Craft and Hobby books
African American literature
Children’s books
Current textbooks (within last two years)
Recent Reference books (within last three years)
Fiction
Classical literature
DVD’s
Books on tape or CD
CD’s
Please REFRAIN from donating any of the following:
Books in poor condition or written in
Magazines
Textbooks
Computer and Technology books older than three years
Reference books older than three years
Travel books older than three years
CD’s, DVD’s or VHS tapes that are homemade or are missing covers
Vinyl records
Donations to the Friends are tax deductible – a receipt of donation will be provided upon request – but we are prohibited by the IRS to specify a dollar amount of the donation.
Please bring donations to the Lee Road Library shipping dock (ring the bell by the entrance) or the Lee Road Library circulation desk during Library hours, Monday through Saturday only.
Donations of the equivalent of four or more boxes (moving book carton size or larger) can be picked up if desired. To make arrangements, please call Harvey and Friends Bookshop at (216) 932-3600 ext. 1234 and leave a message.
